Replacement Citroen Car Keys
The price of a Citroen replacement key can vary depending on the model. For instance, models that have more advanced features like the Xsara Picasso or Berlingo can cost more to replace. In general, however our prices are at least 50% less than the prices of the main dealer.
We can provide new transponder keys and remotes for all Citroen models from 1998 to 2000. These keys contain an internal chip that communicates with the car when you insert them into the lock. If the correct code is received, the vehicle will open. These keys are more secure than other types of car keys and are a great deterrent for thieves.

Keys that are lost will require a PIN code which is usually hidden under a scratch panel on a security card that is made of plastic. Since 1998 in all Citroen vehicles are equipped with transponder chips (philips type 33 fixed code or 'T5" in the key) which are used to start your vehicle. Modern key systems include a remote fob that can lock and unlock your vehicle from a distance and deactivate the alarm with a touch of one button. This is a significantly secure system, and only your unique keys can operate it.

Citroen Car Key Repair
Citroen's vehicles are extremely popular. It includes the C2, C3, C4, C5, C6 as well as the Xsara. All of these cars have transponder chips embedded in the key blades which allow them to start the car - If the correct PIN is recognized by the vehicle when the key is inserted, it will respond with an immobiliser number and the engine will be started. This system is known as a "chip key" and is extremely secure.

Citroen cars made from 1998 to date use a different type of chip, called a "fiat" type 33. This type of chip is more difficult to replace.
